This work deviates somewhat from Rhyn’s usual treatment of a fall scene. It is more flowing, more spontaneous, and certainly more rhythmical. The artist achieved effectively the glimpse of a moment where trees were in their supreme colours. The strokes appear to move, while the tree trunks seem to dance to the music of the moment.
