Georges Rhyn lived in a house just behind these trees in the town of Dorval. Day after day, the neighborhood knew that the artist would be by the lake, working out doors, weather permitting. This scene was done, early in October, when the Canadian maple tree puts on its best attire. Rhyn panted it, but what is obvious, is that the artist did not attempt to produce a photograph, but wanted to share an experience!
